2003 Talking Clock
This time talker/speak page uses your system clock to get details for time, day, month and year. To make sure your computer clock is set right, click on the following country to see if you are on the current and correct time: USA, Canada, or find any Country or region around the World HERE (this time is probably different from your computer system's time, this data is accurate from a University). Add To Favorites | Watch a Movie (new) Please be patient! Loading of Merlin (a cute and animated character to assist you and talk to you with voice synthesis) may take a few minutes. If Merlin doesn't respond, here are some troubleshooting hints or goto Microsoft's Agent Homepage.
This sample loads its character from an HTTP URL, so you must be connected to the WWW and be able to reach the server at http://agent.microsoft.com, or the Talking Clock will not work properly. If you have never installed the Lernout & Hauspie TTS Engine, you will be prompted to install it. Without the TTS Engine, characters will not produce speech output. If you have never installed the Microsoft Speech Recognition Engine, you will hopefully be prompted to do so. Characters will not be able to recognize spoken commands without the SR Engine. Free Lernout & Hauspie TruVoice Text-to-Speech Engine (required for speech feature).
