My name is Dave Brown, I am the Founder of GreyBruce.org. I am trying to supplement my income which at current is ODSP (disability). Eventually I hope to get off disability, hire/employ 3-5 locals (Owen Sound), open a retail store (maybe converted house as I must be close to home) and help others get involved with computers (will even supply recycled computers minimal charges, please give us your old parts). I am disabled due to heart troubles, but working from home I can easily work part time, plus I have many friends in the Owen Sound area who can help with projects (anything from moving to computer repairs).

Friends have teamed up with me to offer more services as they see a future in GreyBruce.org as most services here are free! Senity.com is the custom web designer of the Owen Sound Hospital's web page and is an example of one of our team waiting to help you! I also have other friends who are computer experienced (some certified or went to school for such abilities) who are eager to help, tasks from local area networking to custom web application programming. Together we can give you really good deals as there is no major over head in this early stage of our development.

Costs to date have been covered by my disability check. I have a commercial cable high speed 3.5MBS internet account (and a backup 3MBS ADSL high speed commercial account) which will allow me to host basic web sites (light traffic, under 10,000 views a month) to help cover future internet costs and a slight profit. I have 2 commercial rackmount servers (will be upgraded in future once grants and bursaries are applied for which I am elgible for under disability) for future use, one asp a Unix PHP server and other will be a Windows 2000 ASP server. Right now the main web server is a desktop 800MHZ Athalon, 500 MB RAM, SCCSI HDs and the back up server is a P2 333Mhz (upgrading soon), 256 MB RAM.

Let's meet! I can not come to meet you for appointments at your place, but I can meet you at a local donut shop or restaurant (no bars please, non drinker). I do not have an office at this time for us to meet.
